The goal of the project was to create a secluded place for the homeowners, while having a chance to enjoy nature in a suburban city setting. What appears to be a fortress from the outside is actually an open space , away from the eyes of passersby, giving the family the comfort of a separate space. The Yin and Yang House is a one-story house for a married couple with adult children who will be coming to visit their parents.
